Shift: Monday - Friday, 6AM - 6PM, some weekends

About the Role:

In this role, you will assemble components and products according to established specifications, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to safety standards. You will work from production documentation, follow detailed instructions, and keep accurate records of your work. Your attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues on the line will support smooth, efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble parts and components according to work instructions, blueprints, and production specifications.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely to cut, fasten, and finish materials as required.
  • Handle, move, and stage materials, spools, and components to support continuous production flow.
  • Inspect work in progress and finished assemblies for defects, making adjustments or repairs as needed.
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic assembly or equipment issues, escalating complex problems when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and recordkeeping, including counts, lot numbers, and work order details.
  • Follow OSHA and company safety procedures, keeping work areas clean, organised, and free of hazards.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and quality targets.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an assembly, manufacturing, or production environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to safely use hand and power tools in a fast-paced setting.
  • Solid understanding of workplace safety practices and OSHA-compliant behaviours.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for routine assembly and equipment issues.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions, diagrams, and basic technical documentation.
  • Competence in basic material handling, including lifting, moving, and positioning parts and products.
  • Comfortable completing production forms and maintaining accurate records.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work to defined production targets and deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with spooling operations or wire/cable handling.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
  • Prior experience in a contract or high-mix, low-volume production setting.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry into production or inventory systems.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Formal safety training or OSHA-related coursework preferred.
  • Any relevant vocational or technical training in manufacturing, assembly, or industrial trades is an advantage.

If you are a safety-conscious assembler who takes pride in quality work and wants to contribute to a dependable production team, we encourage you to apply.
