About the Role:
You will be responsible for safely moving, storing, and preparing materials and products for shipment within a busy warehouse operation. Working closely with warehouse leads and other team members, you will support daily order fulfillment, inventory movement, and loading activities. Your contribution directly impacts on-time delivery, stock accuracy, and overall warehouse efficiency.
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 4:30PM (OT provided)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials and finished goods.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately according to pick lists, labels, or system instructions.
- Stage, palletize, wrap, and prepare shipments for outbound transport in line with warehouse procedures.
- Store and organize materials in designated locations, maintaining clear aisles and safe stacking practices.
- Use warehouse computer systems or handheld devices to record movements, confirm picks, and update inventory status.
- Conduct basic equipment checks and report any damage, safety hazards, or maintenance needs promptly.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures, including PPE use, safe lifting techniques, and traffic rules.
- Assist with general warehouse housekeeping to maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant work area.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment in a materials handling role.
- Proficient forklift operation skills, including safe maneuvering in confined and high-traffic areas.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately pick and pack orders in a high-volume setting.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems or warehouse scanners for data entry and order processing.
- Strong awareness of warehouse safety practices and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work on your feet for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and products within standard warehouse weight limits.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience operating additional material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, or order pickers.
- Previous work with warehouse management systems (WMS) or RF scanning technology.
- Background in shipping/receiving processes, including labeling and documentation.
- Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven distribution or manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid forklift certification or license, or eligibility to obtain certification prior to or shortly after start.
- OSHA or other safety-related training in warehouse or industrial environments preferred.
