The Coiled Tubing Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of coiled tubing units and associated equipment during well intervention, stimulation, cleanout, and completion operations. Working under the direction of the Field Supervisor, the Operator ensures all equipment is rigged up, operated, and rigged down in compliance with company procedures, client specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements. This is a safety-sensitive, field-based position requiring extensive travel to wellsite locations.
Rotations: 15 Days on and 6 Days off
Responsibilities:
Rig up and rig down coiled tubing units, injector heads, wellhead equipment, and surface treating iron
Operate coiled tubing unit controls during all phases of well operations including run-in-hole, pump operations, and pull-out-of-hole
Monitor and record real-time data including weight, pressure, depth, and pump rates
Perform well intervention services including wellbore cleanouts, perforating, acidizing, cementing, and nitrogen lift operations
Assist with BHA (bottom hole assembly) makeup and inspection
Coordinate with client representatives and on-site personnel during operations
Complete job reports, field tickets, and operational documentation accurately
Equipment & Maintenance
Perform pre-job and post-job inspection of all coiled tubing equipment
Monitor coiled tubing string condition and track cycle fatigue
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on CT unit, power pack, reel, and associated equipment
Identify and report equipment deficiencies or mechanical issues immediately
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all equipment and work areas
Assist with loading, transporting, and securing equipment between locations
Safety & Compliance
Adhere to all HSE policies, procedures, and site-specific safety requirements
Participate in pre-job safety meetings, JSAs, and toolbox talks
Maintain awareness of well control principles and emergency procedures
Report all near misses, incidents, and unsafe conditions promptly
