Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Warehouse Specialist for a contract position in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics coordination. This role requires a proactive approach to managing warehouse activities and ensuring efficient workflow.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular audits
- Coordinate logistics and transportation to ensure timely delivery of products
- Implement and monitor warehouse safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize supply chain efficiency
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and effectively
- Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in inventory management software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations
- Forklift certification is a plus
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or warehouse management preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
