Position Overview
As Senior Legal Counsel, you will play a dual role combining hands-on legal expertise with operational leadership. Reporting to the CEO, you will oversee the Legal Team’s day-to-day activities while personally handling complex commercial real estate files.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft/negotiate CRE documents (leases, LOIs, etc.)
- Advise internal teams and clients
- Track legal/regulatory developments, manage workflow, allocation, priorities
- Lead, mentor, and support legal team
- Drive best practices and performance
- Liaise with clients and external counsel
Desired Candidate
- 8+ years of experience in commercial real estate law
- Experience with commercial lease drafting
- Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar
- Proven experience in leading legal teams
- Collaborative, client-focused, and able to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Bilingual (French & English), with strong written and oral communication skills.
