Position Overview
Reporting to the Vice President, the Paralegal will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and tracking legal documentation while supporting internal teams with lease-related administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify, review, and approve lease agreements and related documents prepared by the leasing department.
- Draft and revise lease agreements, amendments, relocation agreements, assignments, cancellation contracts, renewals, and other related documents.
- Prepare and manage lease data entry forms.
- Collaborate with leasing agents, construction teams, accounting, property managers, and regional directors to coordinate lease documentation.
- Conduct legal research on restrictions related to lease agreements, offers, and other legal documents.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to tenant requests, internal department inquiries, and lease compliance matters.
Desired Candidate
- College diploma in Paralegal Studies or related field.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience, preferably in commercial real estate.
- Strong legal drafting and document review skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple entities.
- Versatile and able to work efficiently across multiple teams.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
