Shape the Future of Critical DoD Systems: Software Configuration & Release Management Expert

Are you a meticulous and security-focused technologist passionate about ensuring the integrity and smooth deployment of vital software for the Department of Defense? Join our team and play a crucial role in managing the configuration and release of software that directly impacts mission-critical operations.

What You'll Do:

  • Be the guardian of our software releases, ensuring controlled, secure, and accurate deployments.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, testers, and security teams throughout the software lifecycle (Agile, DevSecOps).
  • Leverage your expertise with version control (SVN), build automation, and release management tools.
  • Apply your understanding of FIAR and DoD Configuration Management standards to maintain compliance.
  • Utilize Jira (or similar) to track issues and ensure smooth workflows.
  • Navigate DoD-specific addressing formats (FPO/APO) with ease.
  • Employ your proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.) for documentation and collaboration.
  • Dive into complex configuration challenges and architect effective solutions.
  • Champion accuracy in software baselines, documentation, and compliance records.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate security risks associated with software configuration and releases.
  • Potentially lead CM efforts, mentor team members, and coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Achieve and maintain the requirements for an admin token.

What You Bring:

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain IAT Level 2 certification (Security+) within 6 months of hire.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in software development for applications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience tackling complex technical problems within an engineering or software development environment.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles and a commitment to quality and safety standards.
  • Experience validating systems to ensure effective and safe operation.
  • Familiarity with DoD Business IT supply, logistics, maintenance, and/or personnel administration systems for aviation, afloat, or shore activities.
  • Knowledge of version control, change management, build automation, and release management principles.
  • Familiarity with software acquisition, development, and sustainment processes within DoD environments.
  • Experience with tools like SVN, media burning software, and ISO creation software.
  • Understanding of FIAR and DoD CM policies.
  • Working knowledge of Jira (or similar).
  • Working knowledge of FPO/APO addressing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with SBOM tools and compliance.
