Electronics Test Engineer (Electrical Engineer)

As a Power Electronics Test Engineer you'll be on the frontlines of innovation, working hands-on with cutting-edge energy technologies—from inverters to ESS and EVSE components—ensuring compliance with global standards and helping our clients bring safe, certified products to market.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Conduct testing and certification evaluations on products including inverters, energy storage systems (ESS), EV charging equipment (EVSE), motor drives, frequency converters, and generators.
- Interpret and apply US, Canadian, and European standards such as UL 2202, UL 1741, UL 1973, IEC 61851-x, and IEEE 1547.
- Coordinate and guide clients through test procedures, requirements, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and expand lab capabilities and accreditation scope.
- Travel to client sites for field testing and support (domestic & international).
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to grow service offerings and client relationships.
- Liaise with global laboratories to ensure test consistency and standardization.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, ensure documentation accuracy, and maintain confidentiality.
✅ Must-Have Qualifications:
- Ability to travel up to 70-80%
- 5+ years of hands-on testing experience with regulatory standards.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics, electrical systems, or renewable energy.
- **Familiarity with applicable standards: UL 2202, UL 2594, UL 1973, UL 9540, CSA C22.2 #107.1, IEC 62109-x **.
- Skilled with automated test tools and interpreting technical data.
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
- Valid driver’s license and passport; ability to travel as required.
Education & Training:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Regulatory Testing training preferred.
