Senior Database Administrator – MariaDB Focus

We’re seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our growing technology team. In this role, you'll be a key contributor to the stability, performance, and scalability of our enterprise-grade database infrastructure—with a strong emphasis on MariaDB systems.

This is a great opportunity to leverage your expertise in relational database architecture, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in a Linux-based environment, while contributing to high-availability solutions and enterprise growth.

✅ What You'll Do:

• Ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability of MariaDB and Oracle environments

• Lead performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting for production databases

• Manage backup and recovery strategies and enforce data integrity protocols

• Implement high-availability architectures and replication strategies

• Use enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SQL Diagnostic Manager for MySQL, Oracle Enterprise Manager) to track performance and proactively resolve issues

• Work closely with development and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and database automation

• Support cloud migration and modernization efforts as we scale our platform

�� Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with MariaDB in a production environment

• 3+ years of Oracle experience (basic support or transition knowledge preferred)

• Deep understanding of relational database principles, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

• Proficient with Linux OS and shell scripting for automation and administration

• Strong understanding of backup and recovery concepts

• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools

• Experience with high availability architectures (e.g., replication, clustering)

• Cloud experience is a plus (AWS, Azure, GCP)
