Vehicle and Propulsion Controls organization (PVPC) is the “brain” of the Propulsion Systems division aimed at translating Performance and Functional Objectives into Controls features implemented in the embedded software (SW).

The PVPC organization scope spans the V development cycle with the following core missions:

  • translate system specifications and objectives into requirements
  • distribute control functions and networking strategies
  • implement core functions and diagnostics algorithm design
  • validate the functions to requirements
  • continuous improvement by means of Lesson Learned

Within PVPC organization, the SW verification engineer acts as the main technical reference for the SW verification of the propulsion nodes (engine, transmission and hybrid controller) .

The successful candidate will be responsible to guarantee that all the requirements are properly implemented by testing the Simulink model using advanced virtual facilities (Hardware in the Loop).

Being a SW Verification engineer means you will face daily challenges, but you will also have great satisfactions in your work. Every day you will learning something new.

 Hybrid role (some remote work).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Requirements Analysis vs SW documentation
  • Design the tests to be performed on SW features
  • Execute the designed test using the advanced virtual facilities
  • Interact with the Calibration team to pre-calibrate the new SW algorithm
  • Support Lesson Learned for the escaped issues and reinforce the process to improve the quality of testing
  • Troubleshooting issues to facilitate root cause analysis and issue closure


  Requirements:  

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience (2 years in automotive)
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Simulink models
  • Fluent in English
  • Have a valid drivers license
  • Be proactive, take ownership and be accountable
  • Previous engineering experience in Controls/SW development, testing or calibration will be considered a plus
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
