Azure Engineer / Developer

Contract to hire

Must live within a commutable distance of one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Houston, TX; Phoenix, AZ.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications and microservices on Microsoft Azure.

Build and manage API integrations, Azure Functions, and event-driven services to support auto finance operations.

Support digital workflows such as credit checks, payment processing, loan servicing, and customer onboarding.

Develop automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including build, test, and release stages.

Optimize application performance and scalability while maintaining high code quality.

Work with stakeholders from finance and IT teams to define requirements and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.

Ensure data security and compliance for sensitive financial and customer information.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams for cloud architecture reviews, design validations, and production rollouts.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

5–10 years of development experience, with at least 3+ years of hands-on Azure development.

Proficiency with .NET Core, C#, Azure Functions, App Services, Service Bus, and Azure SQL/Cosmos DB.

Strong experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

Exposure to auto finance processes (e.g., leasing, underwriting, servicing, or credit decisioning).

Solid understanding of cloud security practices, identity management, and role-based access controls.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs, serverless architecture, and event-based systems.

Experience with ARM/Bicep templates or Terraform for IaC is a plus.
