About the Role
A large, established food manufacturing company in Milan, MO is hiring Industrial Electricians for 2nd and 3rd shift. You'll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and controls across the production floor, working hand-in-hand with the maintenance mechanics. Experienced electricians are encouraged to apply, and so are entry-level candidates with a solid electrical foundation. Training and support toward electrical licensing are provided.

Experienced electricians are encouraged to apply but you don't have to know everything on day one. The company provides training and support toward electrical licensing and offers opportunities for long-term advancement.
$27.80$34.80/hour, based on experience
+$1.00/hour shift differential
$2,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days

2nd Shift: 2:00 PM10:30 PM, MondayFriday
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM6:30 AM, MondayFriday
Weekends may be required as needed.
You'll help keep the production facility operating safely and efficiently by:
Troubleshooting and repairing industrial electrical and electronic equipment up to 480V
Diagnosing electrical controls, sensors, HMIs, and Allen Bradley PLCs
Installing and maintaining AC/DC motors, single-phase and three-phase motors, and motor controls
Troubleshooting power distribution, wiring, and communication cables
Supporting maintenance mechanics with electrical troubleshooting on production and packaging equipment
Performing preventive and predictive maintenance
Reading electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
Maintaining and repairing scale systems
Reviewing work orders and determining the tools, parts, and time required for repairs
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and logs
Following safety, lockout/tagout, GMP, and food safety procedures
High school diploma or GED
Hands-on electrical troubleshooting experience in industrial, manufacturing, or maintenance environments
Experience working with electrical systems up to 480V
Ability to use a voltmeter, multimeter, and continuity tester
Understanding of AC/DC power and motor wiring
Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase motors
PLC troubleshooting experience programming experience is not required
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Allen Bradley / Rockwell Automation PLCs
Siemens, GE, or Ignition systems
Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Modbus, or TCP/IP
Pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
Food processing or packaging equipment
Refrigeration or boiler controls
Journeyman electrical license
Formal electrical training
Don't have years of industrial experience yet?

Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally
Stand and walk for extended periods
Kneel, crouch, climb, and work around production equipment
Work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
