Are you an organized, customer-focused logistics professional who enjoys keeping shipments moving and solving problems along the way?
Were looking for an Import Logistics Coordinator to join our team. In this role, youll manage international import shipments from origin to final delivery while working closely with customers, overseas partners, carriers, customs, and internal teams.
If you have experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, air/ocean imports, or customer service, this is an opportunity to put your skills to work in a fast-paced environment where communication and follow-through matter.
Coordinate and track international import shipments from origin through final delivery.
Communicate with customers, overseas agents, U.S. agents, carriers, customs, truckers, and internal teams.
Prepare customer and agent freight quotes and negotiate rates with carriers.
Coordinate shipping arrangements and select/dispatch trucking providers.
Set up and maintain shipment files and manage pre-alert documentation.
Prepare documentation needed for Customs clearance and delivery.
Keep customers updated on shipment status, ETAs, delays, and final delivery.
Track cargo from origin to destination and follow up to ensure shipments stay on schedule.
Review proof of delivery, charges, payables, and billing.
Enter and maintain accurate information in freight forwarding and accounting systems.
Work with management, sales, and operations to support the company's ISO Quality System.
Jump in and assist with other duties as needed.
13 years of experience in international logistics or freight forwarding, preferably with air/ocean imports.
23 years of customer service experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience with freight forwarding or logistics software is a plus.
Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Practical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a cross-functional team.
Positive, motivated, and proactive approach with a strong sense of urgency.
A genuine commitment to providing excellent service to both customers and internal teams.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Competitive pay: $22$32/hour
