A&P Maintenance Controller
MUST BE OPEN TO RELOCATING TO INDIANA (Relocation assistance provided)
$34-$43/hr.
Job Description
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities for aircraft at gates, hangars, and outstations.
- Assign and redirect maintenance work as needed.
- Coordinate third-party maintenance vendors and ensure timely aircraft return to service.
- Provide technical and logistical support for maintenance discrepancies, MEL items, and aircraft reschedules.
- Coordinate parts, maintenance resources, ferry flights, and aircraft recovery services when needed.
- Monitor and communicate maintenance-related delays and cancellations.
- Ensure MEL deferred items remain current and within authorized time limits.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, reports, and computer system transactions.
- Complete shift turnover documentation and communicate work status to other Maintenance Control personnel.
- Provide coaching and on-the-job training as assigned.
- Maintain required recurrent training and follow all company procedures and safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Airline or aircraft maintenance experience.
- Previous Maintenance Control experience.
- Experience as an A&P Mechanic.
- FCC license preferred.
