Shop Foreman

Grand Island, NE
Pay: $23–$33+ per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
No Weekends | Direct Hire | Full Benefits

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Shop Foreman with a strong diesel, heavy equipment, heavy truck, automotive, or similar mechanical background. This role is approximately 75% administrative/customer-focused and 25% shop-floor support.

Responsibilities

• Open, manage, and close service work orders
• Communicate with customers regarding repairs and equipment issues
• Coordinate technician workloads and repair schedules
• Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics
• Complete invoices, warranty documentation, and service reports
• Support technician training, safety, and quality standards
• Oversee and support technicians
• Occasionally deliver parts to field technicians

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical, diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment experience preferred
• Strong understanding of engines, transmissions, axles, and related components
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Basic computer and email skills
• Leadership or Lead Technician experience is a plus
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR
