Quality Lab Technician - 1st Shift

• Shift: 1st shift, 2nd or 3rd shift
• Location: Slatersville, RI
• Pay: $21-$23/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections on new and existing products to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Use inspection results to support approval of new molds and enhancements to existing molds.
• Operate and utilize measuring instruments such as calipers, dial indicators, depth gauges, and optical comparators.
• Document inspection results accurately using spreadsheets and reports.
• Manufacture samples as required, including operating injection molding and assembly machines when needed.
• Conduct statistical analyses and generate reports with findings and recommendations.
• Support the Material Review Board and Quality Department by performing root cause analysis on nonconforming products.
• Evaluate, improve, and maintain inspection and testing procedures.
• Assist with training employees on new or updated inspection and test procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on skill level and operational needs.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Basic computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Basic report writing ability.
• Experience using a variety of precision measuring and inspection equipment.
• Understanding of basic statistical methods.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 50+ pounds and frequent bending, crouching, and standing.
