Diesel Technician – 2nd Shift

Location: Indianapolis, IN
Pay: $31.11–$35.12/hour + additional premiums
Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
Schedule: Full-Time, 2nd Shift

We are looking for an experienced Diesel Technician / Heavy-Duty Truck Technician to join a stable, well-established transportation company in Indianapolis.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience repairing Class 7/8 trucks, tractors, trailers, diesel engines, and fleet equipment who wants strong benefits, certification incentives, and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Compensation

Base pay is $31.11–$35.12/hour, depending on experience.

Additional earning opportunities include:

• $1.50/hour 2nd shift differential
• $1.00/hour CDL premium
• Up to $3.20/hour additional for ASE certifications
• OEM training incentives
• $600 annual tool allowance
• Overtime after 40 hours

A highly qualified technician with a CDL and ASE certifications could earn over $40/hour with applicable premiums.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty tractors and trailers
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
• Troubleshoot diesel engine and mechanical problems
• Perform component repairs, rebuilds, tune-ups, and overhauls
• Inspect equipment and identify mechanical defects
• Use diagnostic equipment and computer-based troubleshooting tools
• Complete repair orders and accurately document labor and parts
• Maintain a clean and safe shop
• Occasionally assist other shop locations when needed

What We're Looking For

You should have either:

• 2+ years of verifiable heavy-duty truck/trailer repair experience

OR

• Heavy-duty truck/diesel technical school training or certification plus at least 1 year of experience
