Controls Technician

North Sioux City, SD
1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: $38–$40+/hr, based on experience
Weekly Pay | Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled and automated equipment
• Write and modify PLC logic
• Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems, motors, instrumentation, and controls
• Work with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and automation systems
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance
• Maintain plant network and Ethernet communications
• Install system modifications and update electrical schematics
• Support the maintenance team with electrical and equipment issues

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial automation, controls, or electrical experience
• Strong electrical troubleshooting background
• PLC programming and troubleshooting experience
• Allen-Bradley experience preferred
• Hands-on robotics, automation, and HMI experience
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• High school diploma or GED
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus
• Electrical Engineering degree or similar education is a plus

Work Environment

• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
• Must be comfortable around automated equipment, forklifts, and conveyors
• Occasional overtime, weekends, holidays, and after-hours support may be required
