Job Description
- Lead field technicians during equipment installation, commissioning, inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Assign daily work and coordinate field crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
- Serve as the primary on-site customer contact and provide professional project updates.
- Lead daily safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA, customer, and company safety requirements.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and control system issues.
- Diagnose and repair motors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, couplings, VFDs, sensors, and control systems.
- Perform mechanical inspections, equipment alignments, and preventative maintenance.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and service documentation.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and commission air fin coolers, plate heat exchangers, shell & tube heat exchangers, and related industrial equipment.
- Perform equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, startup support, and performance evaluations.
- Complete detailed digital service reports and document findings, repairs, and recommended corrective actions.
- Coordinate field activities with Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and other internal teams.
- Train, coach, and mentor field technicians while maintaining high standards for workmanship and safety.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industrial field service experience; experience leading crews is strongly preferred.
- At least 2 years of field service leadership or crew-lead experience preferred.
- Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong experience with electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic repairs
