DIRECT HIRE | 2nd Shift | $31/hr + 10% Shift Differential

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Welding & Metals Manufacturing Technician / Furnace Operator with experience working in metal fabrication, welding, foundry, furnace, or heavy industrial manufacturing environments.

This position involves welding and metal repair, operating industrial furnace equipment, moving heavy materials with cranes and forklifts, and supporting day-to-day production. Candidates with strong mechanical skills and experience working around metals, high-temperature processes, and heavy equipment are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform arc welding, metal fabrication, flame cutting, and metal repair
  • Operate and monitor industrial furnaces and metal-processing equipment
  • Monitor furnace temperatures, gauges, meters, controls, and operating conditions
  • Follow chemistry specifications and furnace/casting requirements
  • Maintain accurate furnace, production, and operating logs
  • Use grinders, drills, saws, impacts, torches, wrenches, and other industrial tools
  • Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts to move metals and materials
  • Assist with equipment setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance
  • Read blueprints, work instructions, specifications, and production schedules
  • Inspect welded, fabricated, and processed materials for quality
  • Follow established safety procedures while working around furnaces, hot metals, and heavy equipment
  • Support production and maintenance teams as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous welding, metal fabrication, furnace, foundry, steel mill, metals processing, or heavy manufacturing experience
  • Hands-on welding experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with arc welding, cutting, grinding, and metal repair
  • Overhead crane and forklift experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Comfortable working around furnaces, heavy equipment, and high-temperature manufacturing processes
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical equipment
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift, weekends, and overtime as needed
