Location: Humboldt, KS
Pay: $35$56/hour (Based on Experience)
This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys working independently, troubleshooting complex mechanical equipment, and building strong relationships with customers. Approximately 90% of the work is performed independently in the field using a company-provided service truck and cell phone.
Monday-Friday
7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Occasional overtime as needed
Weekend work is rare and scheduled in advance
Perform preventative maintenance (PM), diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy construction equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel equipment issues and complete repairs independently in the field.
Complete detailed work orders, service documentation, and repair notes.
Tag and process warranty parts as required.
Communicate repair recommendations and equipment status with customers.
Maintain inventory on your service truck and keep equipment, tools, and work area organized.
Participate in manufacturer training and technical development programs.
Minimum 2+ years of heavy equipment technician experience.
Ability to work independently and make sound repair decisions in the field.
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Personal mechanic tools required (specialty tools are provided).
Preferred Qualifications
John Deere construction equipment experience.
Master Technician-level experience.
Manufacturer certifications or advanced technical training.
