Key responsibilities include:
Leading the daily operations of the Wire Processing Center, including wire cutting, wire harness assembly, soldering, stripping, terminating, and cable assembly
Setting up and maintaining wire processing equipment, machine dies, applicators, tooling, and fixtures to support efficient production
Supervising production employees by assigning work, monitoring productivity, and ensuring production schedules and deadlines are met
Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate product assembly
Performing and overseeing job setup, First Article Inspections (FAI), and in-process quality checks to ensure products meet customer and company standards
Training and mentoring team members on proper assembly techniques, IPC workmanship standards, safe operating procedures, and quality expectations
Monitoring production metrics, identifying process improvements, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput
Troubleshooting production issues involving wire processing equipment, tooling, and assembly processes
Maintaining calibrated tooling, equipment, and an organized, safe work environment while ensuring compliance with company safety procedures
Communicating production challenges, quality concerns, and scheduling issues to leadership while supporting continuous improvement initiatives
We're looking for someone with:
Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent manufacturing experience, preferred
2+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with wire harness, cable assembly, or electronic manufacturing processes
Knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, soldering, wire termination, crimping, and Lean Manufacturing principles
