Storm Search is supporting a client with a direct hire search for a Set Up Tech in Morgantown, PA.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean out melt chambers, feed systems, wings, ingot cans, and other furnace areas.
• Set up furnace chambers for production, including changing molds, feeders, and shields.
• Clean and maintain furnace viewports, sample valves, and other equipment to prevent leaks and failures.
• Learn to operate helium leak detectors and assist with leak checks.
• Learn to operate a lid-cleaning backhoe.
• Inspect hearths, molds, and assemblies during and after clean-outs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (trade school or technical training a plus).
• Strong mechanical aptitude; mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Experience with rigging, piping, welding, or torch cutting is a plus.
• Forklift and crane operation experience highly preferred.
• Ability to wear a respirator and work in confined spaces.
