Diesel Technician

Location: Cinnaminson, NJ
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Friday | 2:30 PM–11:00 PM
Pay: $31.11–$36.26/hour + Shift Differential + Overtime + Additional Premiums

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty tractors and trailers
• Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
• Repair diesel engines, drivetrain components, suspension, steering, and brake systems
• Complete engine overhauls, tune-ups, and component rebuilds
• Perform failure analysis and identify root causes of equipment issues
• Read technical manuals and follow repair procedures
• Accurately complete repair orders and maintenance documentation
• Enter labor and parts into the maintenance management system
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all DOT and company safety procedures
• Occasionally assist at nearby terminal locations when needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of heavy-duty truck or diesel repair experience, OR
• Technical school degree/certification with at least 1 year of heavy truck repair experience
• Valid driver's license
• Strong diesel engine diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience repairing tractors and trailers
• Basic computer skills for diagnostics and repair documentation
• Ability to supply basic hand tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an active shop environment
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL (additional hourly premium)
• ASE Certifications (bonus opportunities)
• State or Federal Inspection Certification
• OEM training experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
