Maintenance Supervisor – Diesel & Industrial Maintenance

Location: Aurora, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–3:00 PM or 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $40–$50/hour + Quarterly Bonus + Overtime

Lead a Skilled Maintenance Team Without Living at Work

We're hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of mechanics in a busy manufacturing environment. This is a first-shift leadership role where you'll spend time both supervising your team and working alongside them to keep equipment, fleet vehicles, and plant operations running efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support a team of 8–10 maintenance employees
• Coordinate daily maintenance activities and work priorities
• Schedule preventive maintenance for production equipment, fleet vehicles, trailers, and facility systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment
• Support emergency equipment repairs to minimize downtime
• Plan maintenance shutdowns, equipment installations, and major repairs
• Ensure parts, materials, and tools are available before scheduled work
• Track maintenance performance and equipment reliability
• Enforce safety policies and participate in safety meetings
• Maintain maintenance inventory and oversee work order completion
• Train, coach, and develop maintenance technicians
• Jump in and assist technicians with repairs when needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous maintenance supervisory or maintenance lead experience
• Strong diesel, fleet, heavy equipment, or industrial maintenance background
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Comfortable leading technicians while remaining hands-on
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Computer experience with Microsoft Office

Highly Preferred

• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
• Welding, electrical, hydraulic, or diesel certifications
• Experience managing preventive maintenance programs

Work Environment

This position supports both plant equipment and fleet maintenance in a manufacturing environment. You'll split your time between the maintenance shop, production floor, and outdoor work areas while leading a team of skilled mechanics.
