Ammonia Refrigeration & Boiler Technician

Relocation Opportunity – Sioux Falls, SD

Pay: $24.65–$32.55/hour + $1.10/hour Shift Differential
Schedule: Days (6:00 AM–6:00 PM) or Nights (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems and related equipment

• Support the operation and maintenance of industrial boilers, HVAC systems, and utility equipment

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability

• Conduct inspections, audits, and routine system evaluations

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

• Respond quickly to equipment issues and emergency maintenance situations

• Partner with production and maintenance teams to reduce downtime and improve efficiency

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

• Assist with equipment upgrades, repairs, and continuous improvement projects

• Follow all safety, environmental, and food safety standards

What We're Looking For

• Mechanical maintenance experience required

• At least 6 months of ammonia refrigeration experience preferred

• Industrial boiler and/or HVAC experience preferred

• Experience in manufacturing, food processing, or industrial maintenance environments strongly preferred

• RETA certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred

• Working knowledge of:

  • Ammonia refrigeration systems

  • Boilers and utility equipment

  • Electrical troubleshooting

  • PLCs and controls

  • Hydraulics and pneumatics

  • Welding and pipefitting

  • Preventative maintenance programs

  • Mechanical systems troubleshooting

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Flexibility to work rotating schedules, weekends, overtime, and on-call situations as needed
