Chemical Process Engineer

Pay: Up to $110,000 a year
Schedule: Monday through Friday (Every other Friday off)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support day-to-day manufacturing operations and troubleshoot batch processes
• Spend 60–70% of time on the plant floor working closely with operators
• Analyze production data and identify root causes of process issues
• Develop and implement corrective actions to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
• Update and maintain SOPs across plant operations
• Improve process capability, yields, and overall production performance
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles
• Collaborate cross-functionally with production, maintenance, quality, and EHS teams
• Support new product/process integration into manufacturing
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong experience with batch manufacturing processes (required)
• Experience working directly on the plant floor in a hands-on capacity
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferred
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with operators and cross-functional teams
• Microsoft Office proficiency; SAP experience is a plus
• Must be able to meet safety requirements including respirator fit testing
