Heavy Equipment Mechanic
1st Shift
$28-$44/hr

Mechanic Description

• Diagnose equipment issues and determine necessary repairs; communicate parts and service needs to the Service Manager

• Repair or replace defective, worn, or damaged components to restore proper function

• Test equipment following repairs or assembly to ensure performance meets quality and safety standards

• Accurately complete work orders, service reports, and documentation, including identifying root causes of failures

• Process and submit warranty claims in accordance with company guidelines

• Maintain and service company vehicles and shop equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation

• Stay up to date on company products as well as competitor offerings

• Maintain organization and condition of tools, equipment, inventory, and work areas

• Read and interpret technical manuals, as well as electrical and hydraulic schematics

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Education/Work Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year certificate from a college or technical school or at least three years experience and/or training in related field.
