Process Technician– Injection Molding

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Shifts: 2nd (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) 
Pay Range: $26–$35/hr 
Shift Premium: $1/hr (2nd), $2/hr (3rd)
Bonus: $2/hr perfect attendance, paid weekly

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Manufacturing Team Supervisor, the Process Technician supports operational goals in the injection molding department. You will develop and maintain optimal molding processes for molds, materials, and presses, provide advanced technical troubleshooting, and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance production efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

• Setup, operate, and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machinery (Husky and Toshiba machines).

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and recommend solutions for processing issues that cannot be resolved by other Process Technicians.

• Evaluate current processing conditions and implement improvement plans.

• Collaborate with Industrial Engineering to ensure proper documentation of process sheets and deviations.

• Assess molds, materials, presses, and auxiliary equipment to ensure process capability.

• Develop production procedures and training materials.

• Support audit preparedness and maintain compliance with TS16949/ISO14001/AS9100 standards.

• Attend and successfully complete forklift training.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 1 year as a Process Technician in plastics (setup techs with 4–5 years may also be considered).

• Experience specifically in plastics injection molding (wax, rubber, or metals experience not eligible).

• Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and computer skills.

• Knowledge of SPC principles and scientific injection molding techniques.

• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 lbs and stand/walk for 12 hours.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
