Shift: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday (Typically 6:00 AM – 2:30/3:30 PM)
Pay Range: ~$32–$35/hr
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
Perform preventative maintenance on plastic injection molds
Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, and reassemble molds
Troubleshoot tooling issues impacting production
Support production teams to ensure molds are running efficiently
Operate manual toolroom equipment including lathes and mills
Read and interpret engineering drawings and tooling prints
Work with tight tolerances and precision measurements
Coordinate repairs, replacement components, and tooling inventory
Assemble and validate molds to production quality standards
Assist with first samples and tooling readiness
Troubleshoot and maintain hot runner systems
Follow all safety and quality procedures
Mentor apprentices or junior toolmakers as needed
10+ years of toolmaking experience required
Strong background in plastic injection mold repair
Experience working with tight tolerances
Proficient with manual machining equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting expertise
Comfortable working in clean room environments when required
High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred:
Journeyman Toolmaker card
Medical or food-grade manufacturing experience
Apprenticeship training
