We are hiring a hands-on Mold Mechanic Specialist to support injection molding presses and mold support equipment on 1st shift (6:42am–3:12pm). This is a long-term opportunity created by a planned retirement, offering stability, training, and the chance to step into a critical role.
If you have real, hands-on experience working on injection molding presses and enjoy mechanical troubleshooting, this role is built for you.
Maintain and repair injection molding presses and mold support equipment
Perform mold changeovers (remove/install molds in presses)
Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems
Repair hydraulic leaks; replace hoses, gaskets, valves, pumps, and motors
Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
Read and work from hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical prints/schematics
Clean screws, nozzles, tie bars, ways, and press areas
Communicate with outside vendors as needed
Maintain accurate maintenance records and parts inventory
Respond to emergency maintenance issues when required
Required
5+ years hands-on experience with injection molding presses
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
Ability to read schematics and prints
High School Diploma or GED
Nice to Have
Trade school or technical coursework
Mold controllers, HMIs, or computer-based machine experience
Plastics manufacturing background
Electrical safety knowledge
Experience guiding or supporting other technicians
