Maintenance Repair Technician - (2nd Shift)
Pay Range:
Maintenance Repair I: $25.01–$26.39/hr + $1.50/hr shift premium
Maintenance Repair II: $26.75–$28.81/hr + $1.50/hr shift premium
Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Overtime is common, with many weeks reaching ~50 hours; some Saturdays required
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery for safety and operational issues
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical failures using test equipment
Dismantle, repair, and reinstall machinery and components using blueprints and precision measuring tools
Repair presses, conveyors, production equipment, plumbing, and vehicles (excluding major engine overhauls)
Maintain and repair tow motors, trucks, cranes, and hoists
Perform conveyor repairs including belts, bearings, and tracking
Clean, lubricate, and service machinery components
Perform daily lubrication routes and preventive maintenance
Layout and assemble new machines and equipment
Perform basic building maintenance (lighting, restrooms, ceiling tiles, minor grounds work)
Assist with training employees and communicate effectively across shifts
Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all safety requirements
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong mechanical maintenance background in an industrial environment
Hydraulic and pneumatic systems experience
Welding and fabrication skills (MIG, TIG, Stick; brake, roller, plasma cutter)
Experience with conveyors, presses, and industrial machinery
Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights (30–200 feet)
Experience using hand tools, micrometers, calipers, Bridgeport mills, and lathes
Boom lift and scissor lift experience
High level of manual dexterity and physical stamina
