Sprinkler Layout Designer - Remote  


Pay: $35-50 an hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Overtime available (typically 5–8 hours/week)
*Must be able to work Central time zone hours*
Remote Option: Available for candidates with 5+ years of sprinkler design experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design and layout fire sprinkler systems for a variety of project types

• Perform sprinkler layouts using AutoCAD and/or HydraCAD

• Complete hydraulic calculations and pipe listings for fabrication

• Create and maintain BIM models

• Conduct field surveys as needed

• Coordinate with other trades to support project execution

• Prepare drawings and documentation for prefabrication

• Support design standards, schedules, and quality expectations

• Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on sprinkler system design experience is required

• Experience with AutoCAD and/or HydraCAD

• Ability to perform hydraulic calculations

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Excellent organization, communication, and time-management skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• NICET certification

• Experience with BIM modeling

• Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent hands-on experience
  (Degrees in Architectural, Mechanical, Civil, or Construction-related fields are helpful but not required)
