Storm Search is supporting a client with a direct hire search for a 2nd shift Flexo Press Operator in Itasca, IL.Work Hours
2nd Shift 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Monday – Thursday; 4-day work week
Pay
$28.00 – $33.00 per hour, based on experience
Responsibilities
Set up, adjust, and operate flexographic printing presses and related machining equipment
Perform make-ready tasks for press and machining operations
Operate presses with RFID insertion and in-line variable imaging
Review job orders and follow production specifications
Inspect finished product and make necessary color or press adjustments to meet quality standards
Troubleshoot press and machining issues during production
Work collaboratively with team members in a safe, clean manufacturing environment
Cross-train and perform additional production or machining tasks as needed
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of flexographic press operating experience
Experience with machining and mechanical adjustments in a manufacturing environment
Ink mixing, plate mounting, and press support experience
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good communication skills
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 70 lbs
Knowledge of 5S and SMED practices preferred
