Facilities Maintenance Technician - Waste Water Treatment experience is required

1st shift - Watertown, CT

Pay: $26–$28/hr

What You’ll Do

• Perform corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance using a CMMS system

• Respond to emergency and unscheduled repairs for facility and production support equipment

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment systems, including discharge cycles and required documentation

• Conduct routine inspections (fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, ladders, spill kits, sprinkler systems, etc.)

• Perform boiler blowdowns, conductivity testing, and required recordkeeping

• Maintain spare parts inventory for critical facility processes

• Coordinate with vendors and contractors; obtain quotes and manage service work

• Perform basic facilities work including painting, cleaning, floor scrubbing, and general upkeep

• Safely operate forklifts and assist with rigging and lifting as needed

• Perform end-of-shift shutdown activities (compressors, securing facility access points, etc.)

• Support safety, environmental, and quality compliance initiatives

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams while maintaining individual accountability

What You’ll Need

• 5–8 years of facilities or industrial maintenance experience

• Wastewater treatment experience (required)

• High School Diploma or GED

• OSHA 10 (General Industry)

• DOT Hazardous Waste Training

• RCRA Training

• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems

• Strong plumbing and carpentry repair skills

• Experience using hand and power tools

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• CMMS experience preferred

• Forklift experience preferred
