CNC Tool Maker / Tool & Cutter Grinder – 2nd Shift

Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM (4×10 schedule)
Pay: $25–$35/hr + $2/hr shift differential

What You’ll Do

• Program, set up, maintain, and operate CNC Tool & Cutter Grinders

• Perform OD profile and finish geometry grinding operations

• Complete mechanical setups on CNC OD pinch-peel grinders and finish tool grinders

• Prepare and dress grinding wheels

• Read, interpret, and maintain print specifications

• Perform OD and finish geometry inspections using precision measuring tools

• Conduct visual inspections to ensure quality and tolerance compliance

• Uphold quality standards and core manufacturing values

• Support expansion and efficiency of second-shift operations

• Long term: train others and help lead second-shift production

What You’ll Need

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience (cutting-tool environment required)

• 7+ years in the cutting tool industry preferred

• Strong experience with Rollomatic CNC grinders strongly preferred

• Full machinist skillset (programming, setup, and operation — not operator-only)

• Ability to read blueprints and apply shop math

• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and visual inspection methods

• Mechanically and technically inclined with strong attention to detail

• Valid driver’s license
