Job Description

Melt Operator Responsibilities

• Follow standard operating and safety procedures

• Learn and apply vacuum, plasma, and helium technologies

• Perform pre-operational checks and monitor furnace systems during pump-down and operation

• Set up and operate furnaces for melting and casting, including loading materials, data logging, melting, casting, and unloading ingots

• Monitor gauges, meters, and video systems during operation

• Maintain accurate production and operating records

• Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, component changes, and leak detection

• Use hand and power tools as required

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude

• Ability to learn on the job

• Basic understanding of technical data and instrumentation
