Job Description
The Quality Assurance Manager oversees the development, implementation, and continual improvement of an AS9100/ISO 9001/ISO 14001–compliant Quality Management System. This role ensures consistent product and process quality, supports regulatory and customer requirements, and leads quality engineering, inspection, and auditing activities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, maintain, and improve the organization’s Quality and Environmental Management Systems.
- Develop quality assurance objectives, policies, and standardized procedures aligned with organizational goals.
- Review and approve engineering, purchasing, and vendor documentation for compliance with quality requirements.
- Apply statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis methods to evaluate processes, drive improvements, and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct and lead internal audits to AS9100 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Oversee inspectors, technicians, and engineers engaged in quality activities, including supplier audits, product validation, nonconformance management, and calibration oversight.
- Lead root cause investigations, manage corrective actions, and respond to customer quality issues.
- Prepare and present quality metrics, reports, and technical information to senior leadership.
- Develop and deliver quality and manufacturing training programs.
- Promote and ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality requirements across all operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing quality; aerospace experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in preparing reports, procedures, and presentations.
