Storm Search is supporting a client with a direct hire search for an Industrial Millwright* in Midlothian, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Install, align, and balance large industrial motors, gearboxes, and rotating equipment using laser alignment tools and dial indicators.
• Install and fit bearings (rolling element & babbitt) with precision to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform dynamic balancing of rotating assemblies and components.
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on cement plant equipment (raw mills, finish mills, kilns, conveyors, crushers).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and other tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Operate hoists, cranes, and rigging equipment safely for heavy machinery moves.
• Fabricate and modify parts using machine shop tools as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS (JD Edwards).
• Adhere to all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, fall protection, hot work, and environmental regulations.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure precision and longevity of repairs.

Required Qualifications:

• Certified Journeyman Millwright (Red Seal or equivalent preferred).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a heavy industrial or cement plant environment.
• Expert in precision alignment, bearing installation, and rotating equipment maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Proficient with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, laser alignment tools).
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in hot/dusty environments.
