Job Description

Quality Assurance Inspector - Watertown, CT - 1st Shift

• Pay Rate: $21.25/hr – $26.86/hr (based on experience and certifications)

• Day shift - 7am - 3:30pm (moving to 4, 10-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and measure parts or products to verify compliance with engineering drawings and specifications (AS9100 / ISO 9001).

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, and optical systems.

• Prepare inspection reports, certificates of compliance, and non-conformance documentation.

• Conduct root cause analysis and assist in developing corrective actions using 5-Why or 8D methods.

• Support training of junior inspectors and production staff on inspection standards.

• Operate automated inspection equipment (Retina system) and maintain accurate records in ERP/MRP systems.

• Promote adherence to all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical training preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

• Proficiency with GD&T, AS9102 First Article Inspections, and SPC principles.

• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Forklift certification and XRF experience a plus.

• ASQ CQI (Certified Quality Inspector) certification preferred.
