Building, Utility, and Environmental Technician - Akron, OH - 1st Shift
Duties and Responsibilities-
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance on facility equipment, utilities, and building systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to restore equipment to proper operation
• Maintain refrigeration, boiler, HVAC, wastewater, and water filtration systems within safety and compliance requirements
• Monitor equipment performance and complete repair logs and documentation accurately and on time
• Identify replacement parts and coordinate ordering to maintain inventory levels
• Follow safety, quality, and security procedures and respond to emergency situations when necessary
• Work independently, prioritize tasks, and complete assigned repair work in a timely manner
Qualifications-
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or facilities environment
• Experience with welding, electrical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, refrigeration, and boilers
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, maintenance manuals, and safety instructions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to obtain forklift certification
• Basic computer and maintenance software knowledge
Education-
• Technical training or trade certification in HVAC, boiler, refrigeration, or related field; or equivalent experience
• PLC and instrumentation knowledge is a plus
