Join a team that specializes in precision mold building and repair for high-performance plastic manufacturing. This position plays a key role in keeping tooling production-ready and supporting new mold builds, maintenance, and engineering improvements.
Build, repair, and maintain high-precision injection molds, including hot runner and valve-gated systems.
Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on molds to minimize downtime and improve tool performance.
Complete engineering changes, modifications, and repairs per specifications.
Collaborate with production and engineering to ensure molds are production-ready on schedule.
Operate toolroom equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs with accuracy and attention to detail.
Maintain accurate mold data and work orders using manufacturing software systems.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain safe, organized work areas.
5+ years of toolmaking experience in a custom molding or precision machining environment.
Journeyman card or formal apprenticeship preferred.
Strong understanding of precision machining, mold design, and toolroom equipment.
Capable of reading blueprints, CAD drawings, and using measuring instruments.
Hands-on troubleshooting skills with injection molds and related tooling systems.
Computer skills for tracking work orders and documentation (IQMS, Microsoft Office, or similar).
Able to work independently and within a small, fast-paced toolroom team.
