Toolmaker – 1st Shift | $33–$50/hr | Precision Injection Molding | [Elbridge, NY]

Join a team that specializes in precision mold building and repair for high-performance plastic manufacturing. This position plays a key role in keeping tooling production-ready and supporting new mold builds, maintenance, and engineering improvements.

What You’ll Do

• Build, repair, and maintain high-precision injection molds, including hot runner and valve-gated systems.

• Perform troubleshooting and corrective maintenance on molds to minimize downtime and improve tool performance.

• Complete engineering changes, modifications, and repairs per specifications.

• Collaborate with production and engineering to ensure molds are production-ready on schedule.

• Operate toolroom equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Maintain accurate mold data and work orders using manufacturing software systems.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain safe, organized work areas.

Who We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of toolmaking experience in a custom molding or precision machining environment.

• Journeyman card or formal apprenticeship preferred.

• Strong understanding of precision machining, mold design, and toolroom equipment.

• Capable of reading blueprints, CAD drawings, and using measuring instruments.

• Hands-on troubleshooting skills with injection molds and related tooling systems.

• Computer skills for tracking work orders and documentation (IQMS, Microsoft Office, or similar).

Able to work independently and within a small, fast-paced toolroom team.
