Maintenance Technician – 2nd shift - Akron, OH

Pay: $27–$30/hr depending on experience (slightly higher considered for strong candidates)
Bonus: $1,500 new-hire bonus paid in three $500 installments (30 days, 90 days, 180 days)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2nd shift (mandatory overtime currently)

What You’ll Do:

• Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on production and building equipment

• Support electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related maintenance

• Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout

• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and document work completed

• Respond to breakdowns and determine root cause of equipment failures

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, prints, and manuals

• Support production teams to ensure equipment uptime and product quality

• Work in refrigerated or frozen areas when needed

• Maintain tools, organize work areas, and keep equipment clean and safe

What You’ll Need:

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (mechanical and electrical required)

• Hands-on troubleshooting experience with motors, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics

• PLC experience preferred (Allen-Bradley or Siemens – troubleshooting or programming)

• Strong work history with demonstrated tenure (no job hoppers)

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cold environments

• High school diploma or GED

• Must provide your own tools
