Automation Technician – 3rd Shift (Robotics & Automation)

Pay: $24–$36/hr + $2/hr shift differential
Bonus: Perfect Attendance Bonus – $1.50/hr
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Overtime: Expected (weekdays and weekends)

What You’ll Do

• Perform machine changeovers and setups following work orders and safety procedures

• Adjust robot pick points, timers, and automation settings

• Load and modify robot programs after mold changes; create new programs when needed

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance following work instructions

• Replace and align balance cylinders on robotic systems

• Use a service laptop to adjust servo parameters, actuators, vision systems, and calibration settings

• Minimize alarms, downtime, and scrap through root cause analysis and improvement suggestions

• Work safely using hand tools, power tools, lifts, forklifts, and cranes

• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams

• Train on 1st shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM) for a few weeks before moving to 3rd shift

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED required

• Technical school, trade school, or automation-related coursework preferred

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

• Comfort working with automated equipment and robots

• PLC exposure or basic knowledge is a plus

• Ability to read work instructions and perform basic math

• Strong communication skills

• Must supply personal hand tools and toolbox

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, climb, kneel, and bend

• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
