Automation Technician - Milwaukee, WI - 1st/2nd/3rd Shift
Shift: 1st/2nd/3rd shift available
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Pay: $26-$35/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Train to perform accurate changeovers and setups on all automated machinery within company specifications, safety regulations, and quality guidelines.
- Adjust robotic and automation pick points, timers, and settings.
- Load existing robot programs or create new ones as needed following mold changes.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation equipment following provided work instructions.
- Replace and align vertical balance cylinders on robotic systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components on automated and semi-automated machinery.
- Use service laptops to adjust servo and actuator parameters, camera inspection settings, and calibrate metering equipment.
- Perform all maintenance and adjustments safely and according to company workmanship standards.
- Minimize equipment faults, alarms, and product scrap by identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance efficiency and reliability of automation systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school degree preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
- Valid driver’s license, adequate insurance, and acceptable driving record.
- Must provide a personal set of hand tools with a tool box or bag.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and bend for extended periods.
- Good manual dexterity for precise work in confined areas.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 70 lbs.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
- Able to train on 1st shift before moving to regular shift assignment.
