Extrusion Technician – Multiple Shifts Available

Pay: $18–$23/hr + Shift Differentials ($1.00/hr for 2nd shift, $2.00/hr for 3rd shift)

Shifts:

• 2nd Shift: 3 PM–11 PM

• 3rd Shift: 11 PM–7 AM
  (Training takes place on 1st shift for 2–3 weeks)

What You’ll Do

• Set up, start, and operate extrusion machines according to work instructions

• Load and verify correct raw materials (plastic pellets) for each job

• Set machine temperatures, speeds, and controls to meet product specifications

• Maintain process parameters within required limits and document changes

• Perform quick quality checks on extruded parts and complete all required paperwork

• Stack, bundle, and palletize finished parts

• Train and support extrusion operators on shift

• Perform tooling setups, cleaning, and proper storage

• Communicate issues with quality, production, or material flow to supervisors

• Assist with cross-training in Punch operations and grinding when needed

• Keep work area clean, safe, and organized

• Follow all PPE requirements, including safety shoes and provided hearing/eye protection

• Support plant certifications and compliance requirements through proper documentation

What Makes You a Strong Fit

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Mechanically inclined with experience operating or setting up machinery

• Ability to read and understand basic blueprints, worksheets, and production specs

• Basic computer skills for documentation and process tracking

• Able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for up to 12 hours

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment

• Forklift experience is helpful (training available)
