Mechanical Project Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing engineering projects, including the development and design control of new and existing products. Provides technical support to internal teams and customers, oversees laboratory testing, and fosters a collaborative team environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
- Promote and maintain a strong focus on safety in all job functions.
- Represent the organization in an ethical and professional manner.
- Ensure product designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and requirements.
- Develop project timelines and coordinate project staff to meet deliverables.
- Review product designs for compliance with engineering principles, internal standards, and customer specifications.
- Coordinate activities related to technical development, scheduling, and problem resolution.
- Evaluate and approve design change requests and drawing releases.
- Monitor and control project expenditures within approved budgets.
- Prepare and present progress reports and final project reports to leadership.
- Conduct regular project reviews with management for feedback and direction.
- Interact with regulatory agencies and industry bodies for code compliance and approvals.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing products as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- One to five years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Regular activities include walking, sitting, handling objects, and reaching.
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, or crouching.
- Occasional lifting of 25–50 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
