Quality Technician – 1st Shift | $20/hr | Slatersville, RI

Join a stable manufacturing facility in northern Rhode Island as a Quality Technician on 1st shift (6:42 AM – 3:12 PM). This hands-on role supports both the Quality and Engineering teams by inspecting new and existing products, running tests, and helping maintain consistent production standards.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $20/hour

• Shift: 1st shift, Monday–Friday

• Schedule: 6:42 AM – 3:12 PM

• Location: Slatersville, RI (commutable from Providence, Woonsocket, and southern MA)

What You’ll Do

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections to verify product accuracy and quality standards.

• Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and optical comparators.

• Record and analyze test results using basic spreadsheets and reporting templates.

• Support new product qualifications and mold improvements through hands-on inspection and sampling.

• Assist with root cause analysis and improvement efforts when quality issues arise.

• Evaluate and suggest improvements to testing and inspection procedures.

• Occasionally operate production or molding equipment to produce inspection samples.

What You’ll Need

• Prior experience with measurement tools and inspection processes in a manufacturing setting.

• Basic knowledge of statistics and ability to document inspection data accurately.

• Comfortable using computers for reports and data entry.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that require bending or crouching.

• Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn new testing techniques.
