Sandblaster/Paint Prep-Process Equipment OperatorMUST HAVE INDUSTRIAL PAINTING EXPERIENCE****

To perform three or more of the following routine well defined processing operations employing the designated equipment under moderate supervision.
Machine and Equipment Used:
Belt sander, sand blaster, bead blaster, spray paint guns, furnaces, ovens, meters, gauges, cams, welding equipment, magnetizer, computer-controlled helix winding machine, powder compaction machines, copper and glass pinch offs, magnetic aligning equipment and microprocessor controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs routine belt sanding; may perform routine maintenance on sander.
• Sandblasts tubes and pars; makes simple adjustments on equipment as necessary.
• Spray paints tubes and/or parts using standard formulas.
• Performs routine, simple polishing or deburring on the small bench lathe.
• Operates standard set-up heli-arc equipment; may perform simple soldering of assemblies.
• Operates atmosphere furnace and related equipment to accomplish routine and standard brazing,
firing and sintering as required.
• Performs routine salvage operations as required.
• Loads and empties ball mills as required.
• Exhausts simple tubes to create a vacuum using different processes as required.
• Processes or activates simpler photocathodes.
• Operates vacuum equipment to perform simple outgassing or cleaning procedures.
• Performs routine operations on standard lathe helix winding machine.
• Performs routine operations on magnetizer, including simple assembling and securing fixtures to magnetizer.
• Performs standard operations on hydraulic powder compaction presses and magnetic aligning equipment.
• Operates alloy pulverizor as required.
• Operates reaction chambers used in routine pyrolytic coating.
• Operates and interprets digital read out on microprocessor-controlled equipment.
• Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
