Electrical Estimator

Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Electrical Estimator to support our construction, energy, and facility maintenance operations. This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely electrical cost estimates for projects ranging from rollouts and retrofits to energy-efficient upgrades and infrastructure installations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical cost estimates for: facility maintenance programs (HVAC & refrigeration systems), retail and commercial rollouts, remodels and retrofit projects, lighting upgrades and energy initiatives, and EV charging infrastructure installations
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and scope documents to determine labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing to ensure competitive bids
• Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and operations to validate scope, schedule, and cost assumptions
• Develop conceptual and detailed estimates for both maintenance contracts and large-scale construction projects
• Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing, and estimating tools
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality
• Support bid submissions, proposals, and client presentations as needed
• Track project outcomes and compare actual costs to estimates to improve future accuracy

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of electrical estimating experience in commercial, retail, and/or industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices
• Experience estimating: rollouts, multi-site projects, service/maintenance work, and retrofits
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst, Bluebeam, or similar)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and contracts
• Background in energy solutions preferred (lighting retrofits, EV charging, energy management systems)
• Familiarity with facility maintenance environments or service-based electrical work preferred
• Knowledge of value engineering and cost optimization strategies preferred
